BBEdit 12.1.4 Download

Bare Bones Software has released BBEdit 12.1.4, refining the x-bbedit:// URL scheme for opening files (and optionally specifying line and column number). The venerable text editor also updates the built-in PHP completion tags, fixes bugs related to inline input or non-Roman input methods that made Undo malfunction, ensures items opened via FTP/SFTP correctly appear in the recent item history, reduces the rate of change when using a pinch gesture to change magnification, and makes changes to guard against a crash that could happen while attaching or removing a display. With multiple clipboards, multiple undos and configurable shortcuts, BBEdit yields impressive results and aids very efficient coding. Compared to TextWrangler, BBEdit is better for producing standards-compliant code, since it can validate HTML 4.01 through version 5, and XTHTML 1.0 and 1.1.

Release Date: 03/11/2020 – BBEdit 13.0.6 is a free and recommended update for all customers with BBEdit 13.0 through 13.0.5. BBEdit 13.0 is a new major release, and a BBEdit 13 serial number is required to use licensed features in this version. Customers with any version prior to BBEdit 13.0 will need to purchase an upgrade. (Download it first and give it a try!)

Important: BBEdit 13.0.6 requires macOS 10.14.2 or later, and will not run on any earlier version of macOS.

BBEdit 12.6.7

Release Date: 09/12/2019 – BBEdit 12.6.7 is a free and recommended update for all customers with BBEdit 12.0 through 12.6.6, whose machines meet the OS requirements. A BBEdit 12 serial number is required to use licensed features in this version.

This download is provided as a convenience for licensed BBEdit 12 customers who are unable to use macOS 10.12.6 or later. If you are running macOS 10.12.6 or later, please use the newest version available, above.

Release Date: 09/13/2017 – BBEdit 11.6.8 is a free and recommended update for all customers with BBEdit 11.0 through 11.6.7. A BBEdit 11 serial number is required to use licensed features in this version.
